Thank You!

Welcome to the first digital issue of Kenworth World’s Best Magazine!

More than ever before, the trucking industry is especially critical in serving the needs of today’s challenging world. Trucks are delivering such essential supplies as vaccines, food, medicine and medical supplies that we use every day.

Kenworth employees and Kenworth dealers commend the outstanding and remarkable dedication of all truck drivers who have put themselves on the front lines every day. For that, we thank you! Without your sacrifices, our society would not have been able to function throughout the pandemic. You are certainly heroes!

Trucking companies and their employees also have persevered and are still standing strong and resolute. This achievement is a result of a strong commitment to the values and ideals at the bedrock of these companies and their employees, and the result of adapting to lengths many never imagined were possible.

In this issue of World’s Best, read about several customers who managed the twists and turns of 2020 and are poised to succeed in 2021.

Gemini Transport services 530 Love’s Travel Stops across the country with fuel, and has recently come to rely on the efficiency of the Kenworth T680 to keep Love’s at the top of the ultra-competitive retail fuel market. When asked why Kenworth was now at the forefront of the Gemini fleet, VP of Transportation Brent Bergevin offered a simple answer:

“We decided it was time to get smarter.”

For the Central Oregon Truck Company, a flatbed hauler in Redmond, Ore., two variables lie at the top of their formula for success: driver satisfaction and truck reliability. Both are satisfied by a full-fleet commitment to the Kenworth T680.

“That’s what it’s about for us,” says Luke Williams, the company’s president. “Fortunately, we’ve done pretty well in both departments.”

You will find other success stories from Kenworth’s on-highway, vocational and medium duty customers as you browse this website. I invite you to dig in and explore.

No matter how you successfully have managed to navigate a challenging year, I again offer my congratulations, and look forward to sharing the opportunity to apply what Kenworth and its customers have learned to help you achieve success in 2021.
